Mr. James is currently the CEO of Barrie House Coffee and a member of the company’s board of directors. Barrie House Coffee is a roaster and producer of coffee and related products currently in its 86th year of business. Prior to joining Barrie House Coffee, he spent over 22 years with ExxonMobil Corporation in various leadership positions. With assignments in multiple countries, Mr. James developed a robust international business acumen in strategic planning, marketing, sales, operations, business analysis and customer service. Prior to his career at ExxonMobil, Mr. James spent eight years as a chef and pastry chef for some of the most notable restaurants and patisseries in Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Mr. James is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York earning a degree in Culinary Arts from their illustrious chef program. Additionally, he is a graduate of Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Mr. James is also a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree in International Strategy & Management. A strong supporter of charities and veteran organizations, Mr. James is active in the community providing his time and financial support to The Headstrong Project, Feeding Westchester, United Way, Team RWB, Career Gear and Junior Achievement. Mr. James is also a strong supporter of the Culinary Institute of America as a member of their Alumni Council, Society of Fellows, and guest lecturer for numerous classes on campus. Currently a resident of Croton on Hudson, New York, Craig spends his free time with his wife Carla travelling the globe experiencing new cultures, people and new foods. He is also active with surfing, skiing, diving, wakeboarding and enjoys playing the guitar. |
