Helen Aboah is CEO of Urban Zen, a design vision and philosophy of living created by Donna Karan that defines the space where creativity, culture, and collaborative design converge with community, wellness, and social impact.
Aboah is at the intersection of retail, technology, healthcare and philanthropy. She oversees all of the brand’s operations, including the Urban Zen Collection and artisanal partnerships; Urban Zen stores; Urban Zen Center, and the Urban Zen Foundation. She will also spearhead the spinoff of the groundbreaking Urban Zen Integrative Therapy (UZIT) Program that integrates eastern healing modalities with western science, which is currently practiced by a network of over 900 certified therapists throughout the country in leading hospitals. A seasoned executive in the retail industry, Aboah balances strategic and operational excellence, leading global multi-faceted luxury brands such as LVMH/Donna Karan International and Alexander Wang to double-digit growth with a focus on merchandising, brand positioning, and product strategies. Prior to her fashion career, Aboah worked in film and television production. Aboah attended Columbia University and currently lives in New York City with her family. |
