Design Thinking for Facilitators
Sam Cowles currently serves as the Deputy Director of Employer Engagement and Partnerships at the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development. In this role, she builds and manages public-private partnerships to support internships, entry-level job development, and funding opportunities for Citywide youth workforce programming. She was first introduced to design thinking in 2016 and views it as a powerful tool for facilitating conversations, building coalitions, and implementing strategic plans to serve diverse stakeholders.

Sam holds a masters degree in sustainable development and has worked for various political organizations including Obama for America and NY Communities for Change.
